Stage Challenge TV 2009/10 TV Series
BRIEF: Twelve venues, 180 schools, seventeen thousand participants and an audience of twenty five thousand people…the Stage Challenge® is a dance, drama and design spectacular where students are the stars. It is part of a global event held in Australia, Japan, South Africa, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. The Global Rock Challenge produces a television series for TV 3 on each tour and works with New Zealand kids show Sticky TV to produce a one hour final. WHAT WE DID: Spark Productions toured with the Stage Challenge production crew for two months covering the event, training camera operator volunteers on broadcast equipment, assisting the crew and the vision director and helping direct several feature stories from different schools. Over 200 hundred interviews were filmed and over 10 feature stories were created during the two years. The shows were broadcast on TV3 in the afternoons.
